Avatar es una película de ciencia ficción estadounidense, escrita, producida y dirigida por James Cameron y protagonizada por Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang y Michelle Rodríguez. Ambientada en el año 2154, nos manda un claro mensaje ambientalista:

"La Gente del Cielo nos ha enviado un mensaje: que pueden coger lo que quieran y nadie se lo impedirá. Pero nosotros les enviaremos otro: ¡cabalgad tan rápido como os lleve el viento, pedid a los demás clanes que vengan, decidles que Toruk Magdo les convoca a todos! Y ahora volad todos conmigo, hermanos, hermanas, demostremos a la Gente del Cielo que no pueden llevarse lo que les dé la gana, y que ésta... ¡ésta es nuestra tierra!" 

"The Sky People have sent us a message: that they can take whatever they want and no one can stop them. But we will send them a message. You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you, and you tell the other clans to come...and tell them Toruk Makto calls to them! And you fly now, with me, my brothers, sisters. And we will show the Sky People, that they cannot take whatever they want! And that this... This is our land."
